Kolkata: On Saturday, members of the women’s grievance cell of Kolkata Police had met Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan and recorded her statement.

“He’s making up all sorts of things to save himself from allegations. Why didn’t the media investigate even after I gave them all details. Till the day I took to social media, I tried to convince him to save our marriage. If he tries to come back I may still consider”: Haseen Jahan says in a press conference.

Hasin Jahan had on Thursday lodged a police complaint against him and his family members at a Kolkata. She had earlier posted screenshots of alleged conversations between Shami and multiple women. Jahan had also shared some photos of the bowler as “evidence” to support her allegations.

“I tried to convince him that he should accept his mistake, I have been trying since very long. He would’ve run away to UP by now if I did not catch hold of that mobile phone, he would’ve divorced me till now if I did not have the mobile phone”: while meeting with press Hasin Jahan, Mohammed Shami’s wife claims.

Jahan further claims that Shami is still lying infront of media. However, Cricketer Mohammed Shami is likely to be questioned by the Kolkata Police on Sunday after it lodged a case against the Indian bowling spearhead based upon the allegations of attempt to murder and domestic violence levelled by his wife Hasin Jahan.
