Tragic Mishap Kills 4, Injures 5 in Bihar


Motihari: A tragic mishap claimed the lives of four people and injured five others in Bihar’s East Champaran district on Wednesday. The accident took place on National Highway 74 near Dilia Bazar.

“Nine persons were travelling in the SUV from Machharhatta area of Patna to attend a marriage function at Kuria village in Bagaha in West Champaran district. Suddenly a truck came in front of the vehicle and rammed it,” Chakia Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mundrika Prasad said.

The DSP said the collision was so severe that three persons died on the spot. One more died while being taken to hospital. The injured have been shifted to the Patna Medical College.
