Trader’s Body Found In kolkata’s Mohor Kunja

Kolkata: A trader named Chandrasekhar Patra from East Midnapore has been found dead in mysterious circumstances at Mohor Kunja off Victoria Memorial in Kolkata on Monday.

Mohor Kunja is a public park owned by Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) and cultural events are often held on the park premises on open stage.

Today morning, Chandrasekhar Patra, a cashew trader from Ramnagar in East Midnapore was found hanging from a tree at Mohor Kunja. On being informed, cops from the Hastings police station rushed in and brought down the lifeless body of the trader.

The incident has come as a shock because it took place at Mohor Kunja which soon surrounded by an arterial road at one end and the Victoria Memorial Garden on the other hand. The area is part of Kolkata’s heritage zone and several private security guards and policemen remain posted in the area round-the-clock.
