Tourist Spots Unaffected By BJP’s Call For 12-Hour Bandh


Tamluk: The Bangla Bandh did not affect normal life at Tourists spots like Digha, Madarmani and Tajpur. In these three places, a huge crowd of tourists were gathered.

Like the Digha-Mandaramani, the normal life of industrial town in East Midnapore was also remain normal. The presence of everyone was also noticed in school-colleges, office-courts.
But the train service was disrupted at the South Eastern Zone. Due to Bandh, the Howrah-Digha Tamralipta Express reached Digha at around 1:00 pm instead of 10am.

BJP-Trinamool clash turned violent at the Kolaghat, Nandkumar, Mahishadal, Mayna and Egra. The district police arrested 21 people and detained 23 people in this incident.

BJP district president (Tamluk) Pradip Das alleged, “All TMC cadres attacked our workers and staffs with sticks. More than 30 of our workers have been injured. ”
