Tomar Withdraws Bail Plea: Fake Degree Row


New Delhi: Former Delhi Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar withdrew his bail plea on Tuesday, from a session court in Delhi in an alleged fake degree row. He said since he has been remanded to four day police custody, he does not want to pursue the matter as of now.

Tomar was arrested by Delhi Police following an FIR by Bar Council of Delhi for allegedly forging his law degree. An FIR was registered against him on June 8 at Hauz Khas police station and he was booked for alleged offences of cheating, forgery, using forged documents as genuine, forgery with intent to cheat and criminal conspiracy.
