Tomar Sent to Tihar jail: Fake Degree Row

New Delhi: Former Delhi Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar was sent to Tihar Jail after his bail plea was rejected by a Delhi court on Sunday in connection with the fake degree case.

Tomar, whose police remand ended on Sunday, was produced before the Saket Court which refused to grant him any reprieve in the case and sent him to judicial custody for a day.

Tomar, who was arrested on June 9 on charges of fabricating documents and submitting fake degrees while filing nomination for the Delhi Assembly polls held in February this year, will be produced before the chief judicial magistrate on Monday for a hearing on his bail application.
