Babri Demolition Anniversary: TMCP Celebrates Solidarity Day


Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Observed ‘Day of Solidarity’( Sanhati Dibash) across the state to mark the historic day of Babri Masjid Demolition which is 6th December in order to preserve the state of communal harmony. The main event was held with a crowd gathering at kolkata’s gandhi murti.

Hindus, muslims and people from different religion and caste attended the ‘day of solidarity’ function on Sunday. The function was presided over by state Education minister and Trinamool general secretary Partha Chatterjee. Also present at the occasion was parliament and lokshaba’s Trinamool congress chief spokesperson, Sudip Banerjee.  Speaking at the occasion he said, “ India is a democratic and secular state. an peaceful environment should always be maintained in this country. Sudip Bannerjee, commenting on the kerala bhavan beef controversy said that every indian has the right to be free. Whatever one wants to eat shoudn’t be decided by others. Trinamool member Idrish Ali says, West Bengal has always been the centre of religious harmony. Partha Chatterjee said, “BJP is creating an environment of Communalism in the state. We will never let that happen.  Thus ‘Day of solidarity’ was celebrated by Trinamool on 6th of dec by footmarch.
