TMC Worker Shot Dead In Birbhum


Suri: Violent post sweep clashes continue to jolt West Bengal as clashes between CPM and TMC are being reported across the state on Monday. meanwhile, clashes within party rivals too has gathered momentum.

A TMC worker has been shot dead in Birbhum district’s Nanur on Monday, said police. The deceased identified as Khokan Sheikh, who belongs to the Kajol Sheikh faction of Trinamool, was shot and allegedly killed by the men of rival Gadadhar Hazra.

Hazra, on the other hand junked the allegations as a trick to defame him and blamed CPM for the violence.

In a separate incident a CPM party office in Asansol’s Jamuria has been allegedly set on fire by TMC men and another CPM office in Haldia’s Durgachok was ransacked too.
