TMC Worker Killed In Faction Fight Over Panchayat Board Forming

Raiganj: TMC worker was killed in a clash between two factions of the party in North Dinajpur’s Islampur area on Saturday. The incident happened at Islampur’s Panditpota village.

The clash was broke out over the forming of Panchayat board at the area. Earlier, TMC had won 6 seats and Independent candidates won the 5 seats among 11 seats but after that 5 independent candidates joined the ruling party. As a result, TMC conquered the whole Panchayat body. Now they started fight over who will be the Panchayat Pradhan.

Mohammad Lal Mohammad (40), a resident of Budhasbosti area, was injured in the bomb blast. He immediately sent to the Islampur hospital but he declared dead. Another two injured persons were also admitted to the hospital.

Police force deployed in the area to tackle the situation. In this context, the area’s legislator Kanailal Agarwal, Trinamool block president Zakir Hossain tried to contact but they could not be found. Islampur police launched an investigation to nab the culprits.
