TMC Worker Killed In Alipurduar


Alipurduar: As a result of staging protest against illegal sand mine, a rebel Trinamool Congress worker has been murdered in Tapsikhata area of Alipurduar.

The illegal sand mining is running which would not be accepted. After many instruction from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to stop the interference of middleman in any business, there is not effective result impacted the party. The business was running on the Kaljani river bank since long time, has courted controversy which turned violent in last few days.

Reportedly, Tushar Barman went to the river side after receiving information of hitting his brother. After going there he was shot dead from a point blank range.

The villagers claimed, the deputy head of the gram panchayat was actively involved with the illegal business deal. The goons are sheltered by him. People have demanded his arrest following the incident and staged protest.

Police has assured a neutral investigation so the TMC people have withdrawn the protest after this.
