TMC won’t take Manjulkrishna Thakur: Partha


Kolkata: ManjulKrishna Thakur, who had earlier expressed his desire to join TMC had visited the Vidhan Sabha to meet Partha Chatterjee. On hat occasion, Manjul was accompanied by his son, Subrata Thakur even. After the meeting which took place on May 13, Partha Chatterjee comes up with a reaction on May 16. He washes away all speculation of Manju’s TMC safari by saying that the party will not immediately consider Manjul as one of its members. According to close sources it is even learnt that  Binapani Devi who is popularly known as Boro Ma in the Matua,  has played the intruder from Manjul’s inclusion in the TMC. In the Bongaon bypolls, Subrata Thakur who stood for BJP, the son of Manjul Krishna Thakur lost to Mamata bala Thakur (who is wife of KapilKrishna thakur, elder brother of Manjulkrishna) of TMC by over 50k votes.After the incident, Manjul had expressed his desire to get back to TMC. Some TMC sources had said that he had even sent a letter to Mamata Banerjee, the TMC supremo to grant his  re-entry within the party. But dismissing all rumours, the education minister of the state said that the party will not include Manjul immediately within its ranks.

On the other hand, Minister Sabitri Mitra’s cellular phone was lost from the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. Along with her mobile, some other membership papers of the Assembly was also misplaced, said Mitra. She was surprised to find that important documents were stolen from the Assembly. On complaining about the incident, the speaker of the house has said that the officials will look into the matter at once.
