TMC Set To Protest Outside Parliament As Budget Session Resumes


New Delhi: Trinamool Congress Party starts their protest outside the Parliament as amid the ongoing investigation by multi-agencies in connection with the Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud.

The Congress and other opposition parties are set to raise the issue of multi-crore financial scams in both the Houses as the second part of Parliament’s Budget Session begins on Monday.

The Houses of Parliament is meeting after a month-long recess in the session. Opposition parties would seek an answer from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on how the Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud and other banking scams took place and how the government failed to stop them.

The Opposition may also raise the issue of the arrest of former Finance Minister P Chidambaram’s son Karti.The government, on its part, is seeking to counter the opposition’s offensive by bringing the Fugitive Economic Offenders Bill.
