TMC Confirms Absolute Majority In Birbhum


Birbhum: Trinamool Congress has already occupied the Zilla Parishad. But it did not reach the absolute majority. BJP has fulfilled that too.

The picture suddenly changed after the closing of nomination filing. Monday, on the closing day of nomination TMC almost occupied the Birbhum Zilla Parishad. TMC has got 41 seats among 42 without competency.

BJP has given candidate in Rajnagar of Birbhum. Chitralekha Roy has filed nomination from the saffron camp. The scrutiny has ended on Wednesday. The withdrawing date of nomination initiated from Thursday. Chitralekha Roy has already withdrawl her nomination. She went to the District Magistrate office and withdrawned her nomination.

It has spread anxiety in the political sector of Birbhum. Anubrata Mondal said on this, ” It is a defeat in front of Mamata Banerjee’s development. It is just a outcome. They want to stand beside such development.”
