TMC protests over Land Acquisition Bill

New Delhi: Narendra modi government is reeling under immence pressure from all quarters over the introduction of the controversial Land acquisition Amendment Bill 2015 to replace the ordinance in Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

The TMC MPs are staging protest outside the Parliament house against the land acquisition ordinance. The TMC MPs wore green outfits and raised slogans against the Bill.

TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee said, “Poor people’s interest has to be looked into. Our green cloths represent the greenery and agriculture of the nation.”

The bill will be introduced in the Lok Sabha by Rural Development Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh. In December last year, the Government had circulated an Ordinance bringing change in the previous bill passed by the UPA in 2013.
