Barrcakpore: MP Dinesh Trivedi and Trinamool legislator of Noapara Sunil Singh of North 24 Parganas observed Chhath festival. On Tuesday, they celebrated Chhat Puja with the locals.
Barrackpore MP Dinesh Trivedi and Sunil Singh, the Trinamool legislator of Noapara, worshiped Surya Deva, at Manirampur of North Barrackpore, under the Noapara Legislative Assembly. On Tuesday evening, they traveled Ganges with the locals jointly. Then they visited various Ganga Ghats of Noapara region.
Barakpur MP Dinesh Trivedi said, “Chhat is a festival where there is no caste, religion discrimination. It is known from the Rig Veda that the first sun worshiped. ”
On the other hand, Sunil Singh, TMC legislator of Noapara, said, “Noapara is excelling the other states of the country in Chhath festivals. People of all religions and languages have participated in these festival.” The security arrangements were hiked in the Gangas Ghat of Barakpur industrial area on the north 24 Parganas due to festival.
Chhath festival was celebrated with the fervour in Barrrackpore industrial area of Bhatpara, Barahnagar, Kamarhati, Titagarh, Noapara, Kankinara, Kanchrapara area. Chatta Puja festival will be held on Wednesday.
