TMC MP Dibyendu Narrowly Escapes Major Accident


Tamluk: Dibyendu Adhikari, the Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) MP from the Tamluk constituency narrowly escaped a major accident on Saturday late night.

MP Dibyendu Adhikari was returning from a party meeting to his home in Kanthi at around 11pm. A lorry while trying to overtake his car, slammed the car sideways at Nandakumar Digha National Highway near Chandipur. As the result of this, the MPs car drove forcefully to some distance and then stopped. Immediately the police officers of the MP’s pilot car stopped the lorry.

The cops of the Chandipur police station rushed to the spot after receiving the information. The driver of the lorry has been arrested. The police said that the driver was drunk.

Fortunately, Dibyendu did not suffer any injury. He returned back to his home at that night itself.
