Kolkata: Local TMC MP Arpita Ghosh harshly criticised Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Balurghat for the BJP rally. She said that what will he do by coming to Balurghat, when he cannot handle his own house. She also said that there was no profit for the BJP in bringing Yogi. The state BJP leadership have mainly prioritised the Balurghat Lok Sabha constituency and looking for every means to take over it. For this, they want to bring top politicians of the national level.
Already, central health minister J. P. Nadda have already visited this constituency and have convened a meeting. BJP national leader Kailash Vijayvargiya also came and conducted a rally. Now, the BJP wants to bring Yogi Adityanath as a star campaigner. He is scheduled to convene a rally on February 3.
Criticising this rally, Arpita Ghosh said that cultural-minded people stay in Balurghat and there is no place for the BJP. She pointed out that, “For 40 years, this was under the Left and hence you can understand how much the people are political-minded. This is the place of Mamata Banerjee. BJP cannot win by bringing anyone here.”
