TMC leader attacked, bombs hurled at Birbhum


Birbhum: Escalating the political violence in the state amidst the municipal election, Trinamool leader Sheikh Mustafa has been allegedly attacked by BJP goons on Friday at Sattor village under Parui police station.

As per the reports the attacker hurled crude bombs at Sheikh. He was severely injured as splinters hit him. The locals rushed Sheikh to the Bolpur hospital and later shifted to Burdwan Medical College as his condition deteriorated.

Trinamool leaders on the other hand accused BJP of orchestrating the attack and lodged a complaint at the local police station.

Parui has recently been making it to the headlines over BJP-TMC clashes for political dominance of the area.
