TMC Holds Bike Rally To Counter BJP


Cooch Behar: Panchayat election is at door step. Before election, Cooch Behar has become talk of the town due to ruling party and saffron brigade’s power play. To counter BJP’s bike rally, TMC holds bike rally at Cooch Behar on Thursday.

According to TMC officials, approximately ten thousands bike gathered in the rally. The party workers gathered in Rasmela ground and district leader gave speech to rejuvinate the party aim to give ten goal to the saffron brigade.

Earlier, Election Commission has allotted thirty five company of central forces for the upcoming bypoll election in West Bengal. Among them thirty company will be deployed in Uluberia constituency. Rest of five company will be at Noapara.

Six company of central forces of Uluberia Constituency have arrived Kolkata on Friday by Yashvantpur-Howrah Express ten days before the bypoll election. They will reside at Jaduberia Bidyapith of Uluberia. Route-march will cover Shyampur and Uluberia area from the school. CRPF and CAPF are responsible for the security during election. Rest of the 24 company will arrive the city soon.

Uluberia and Noapara constituencies bypoll will take place on 29 January, Monday. For a secure and peacful election forces have been deployed. Deputy Commissioner of Election Commission, Sudip Jain is coming to investigate the situation and election preparation on Saturday afternoon.

A meeting with Chief Election Commission Officer Ariz Aftab and Kolkata election commission officials is scheduled to happen on Saturday evening. District Magistrate, Police Super and police commissioners of Howrah and North 24 Pargana will be present at the meeting.
