Chinsurah: The situation of the opposition political party is becoming increasingly complex in the state. Opponents complain that some are facing serious opposition from the ruling party.
A road protest has held against the Hooghly district BJP leadership. On Sunday, the BJP’s procession started from Hooghly junction. The rally followed the world’s biggest G.T.Road and ended at Lichubagan. About 300 to 350 BJP workers participated in the procession.
The BJP camp accused the Trinamool government for obstructing BJP’s program in various areas of Hooghly district for the last few days. Apart from that, the participants in these programs are also being attacked by the ruling party supporters. Many ordinary people have been injured. The police did not take appropriate action even if they complained to the police.
The Hooghly district BJP organized a road gathering against the anarchy. Several leaders of the party including Hooghly district president Subir Nag, district vice-president Baby Tiwari, district secretary Suresh Sau, state secretary Deepanjan Guha, Hooghly Circle president Bapan Hazra and others were present at the procession. The BJP’s general secretary of the district Suresh Sah said, “We are making them aware of those who are organising this kind of attack. Still, those who are good grassroots workers, keep the BJP’s flag in mind with Mukul Roy.
