TMC Goons Accused Of Killing Party Youth Prez’s Father


Berhampore: Chaos spread in Murshidabad’s Barya over the murder of Youth Trinamool Congress working president’s father. The TMC party has been accused in this case.

The deceased has been identified as Jiyarul Sheikh (55). The police has started an investigation. As per locals, Jiyarul was sitting at a tea garden in Baganpara Sakulmore. At that time, some goons came and allegedly attacked him. They first hit him in the head and as its result, they fell to a nearby drain. After this, the goons threw bombs at him.

The locals rescued and rushed him to the Kandi sub-divisional hospital where his condition worsened. Later on he was shifted to the Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital where he was declared brought dead. After this, a huge police force was deployed in the area.

Barya Youth TMC working president Jewel Sheikh alleged, “The local TMC member Beltu Sheikh and his colleagues attacked my father.” Although, his father was not connected to any political party. It has been alleged that he was killed over land dispute issues. The family members have demanded for punishment of the culprits.
