TMC faction fight spreads tension in area

Bankura: Tension spread in Natshala village under Majia Police station area of Bankura district from Friday night due to faction fight within the TMC. According to locals, the two rebel factions of the ruling party clashed with each other over the construction of a bridge in the area. It was alleged that bombs were also hurled in the area. One TMC supporter has been injured in the clash. Although a complaint was lodged at Mejia police station, no one has yet been arrested by police.

Local TMC leader Harendranath Banerjee was given the duty to look after the construction of the bridge due to which an altercation followed between another TMC leader Parimal Chakraborty.

Huge amount of money was demanded from Harendranath Banerjee by the supporters of Parimal Chakraborty following which clashes broke out between the two groups. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
