TMC faction fight leaves one dead at Balurghat


Balurghat: Bombs hurled during Trinamool Faction fight has led to the death of a woman. The incident occurred in South Dinajpur’s Tapan Police Station Area. The deceased has been identified as Gauri Roy.

There was an intense fight among the rival groups of the TMC. One of the groups left a bomb and fled the spot. In the bomb attack the deputy Panchayat Pradhan of the Bablu Roy was injured along with five others of the rival group. They have been taken to Gangapur hospital for treatment.

On the other hand a woman died while trying to open the bag containing the bombs. She was admitted to hospital in a critical condition where she was declared dead.

The faction fight within the TMC has increased over the last few days in the area. The main fight is between the groups of TMC leaders Tapas Mondal and Shankar Mondal. No one has yet been arrested by police.
