Kolkata: The Trinamool Congress on Thursday expelled Humayun Kabir from the party for 6 years. Kabir fell out with the party after his rebellious declarations that CM Mamata Banerjee is no longer the competent face of justice she used to be. Kabir, during a press conference on Wednesday lashed out at Indranil Sen accusing him of exploiting the people of Murshidabad and accused the party of harboring Sen.
TMC on Tuesday served a show cause notice to Kabir demanding an explanation on his rebellious stance, but Kabir kept on voicing his dissent about the corruption going within the party.
Swapan Kanti Ghosh’s suspension followed by Humayun’s expulsion is a clear indication of the internal turmoil going on within the Trinamool Congress.
