Dibrugarh: Trinamool Congress delegation reached Assam. On Sunday, three MPs and one TMC MLA led by MP Derek O’Brian landed at Dibrugarh Airport. From there, they headed towards Tinsukia Dhola area. Three days ago, five Bengalis became the victim of mass killing in Assam on November 1.
One Sunday the TMC leaders reached Tinsukia led by TMC MLA Derek O’Brien, the TMC parliamentary party leader in Rajya Sabha, the team comprises the party’s Lok Sabha MP Mamata Bala Thakur, Rajya Sabha MP Nadimul Haq and MLA Mahua Moitra.
The Trinamool delegation also visited the spot in Tinsukia where the five innocent Bengalis were gunned down by the militants on Thursday,November 1. Blood stains were still visible there. Most poignant was charred wood from the funeral pyre.
The TMC delegation met the bereaved families in Tinsukia and assured them to stay beside them. TMC delegations have provided financial support of rupees one lakh financial to the families of the victims.
