TMC candidate arrested in faction fight


Kolkata: A TMC supporter was injured with bullet injuries in faction fight within the Trinamool Congress in Kamarhati Municipality under Belgharia Police Station. According to sources, the supporters of TMC candidate of ward no 2 of Kamarhati Municipality Afsana Khatun clashed with the supporters of Kamal Hossein Ansari, TMC candidate of ward no 6.

Both the groups fired shots at each other. Police resorted to lathicharge to bring the situation under control. One supporter of Afsana Khatun was admitted to College of Medicine and Sagar Dutt hospital with bullet injuries in a critical condition. Later he was transferred to a private Nursing Home.

Police have arrested TMC candidate of Ward 6 Kamal Hossein Ansari and a huge police force have been deployed in the area.
