TMC atrocities fearful than black day of 70s: Biman Bose

Kolkata: Claiming that atrocities on the party workers by the TMC goons on the day of the bandh fails the black days of the 70s, Left Front Chairman Biman Bose said that the atrocities in Birbhum, Berhampore and Siliguri were more fearful than that of the 70s.

He claimed that Siliguri Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya, District Secretary Jibesh Sarkar and RSP leader Binoy Chakraborty and CPI working secretary Animesh was unjustly arrested by police. He said that they were pushed and pulled into the police vans.

Bose announced on Thursday the 17 left parties will be observing protest day against the TMC attacks. He said, “If supporters face attack on protest day, then Friday will again be observed as protest day. We will continue with our protest against the Government.”

Claiming the Bandh to be successful, he said that the common people have stood in favour of the bandh.
