Kolkata: The West Bengal government on Thursday moved Calcutta High Court against National Investigation Team (NIA) probe in the Krishna Nagar train blast. The CID is currently investigation the blast.
The state government has vehemently protested NIA probe in the blast emphasizing that the blast is not a terrorist act, it is just an infighting of the rival gangs. The NIA on the other hand claimed the blast possess Jihadi links and is a matter of national security.
A blast rocked the Sealdah-Krishna Nagar local on May 12 killing one person and injuring many. The state government’s reluctance in involving NIA in the probe has sparked speculation that ruling Trinamool members might got involved in the whirlwind of investigation.
