Tips For Summer


With the temperature between 38 – 41 degree Celsius and with no Kalbaisakhi yet, the people of Kolkata are suffering a lot in this scorching heat. With summer comes a lot of health issues. Be it tan or rash, they are a no – no for all of us. From following a proper routine of CTM (cleansing-toning-moisturising) to maintaining a proper diet, experts have suggested a few tips to take care of ourselves in this summer. So a few tips for our viewers:

  • Sunscreen – Do not forget to use your daily sunscreen before stepping out of your homes. SPF 30 is suitable for our Indian skin. You must apply sunscreen 20-30 minutes before stepping out. It is a wrong concept that sunscreen is used only while stepping out. Ensure that you use your sunscreen while you are indoors, too.
  • Follow CMT – The essential routine to our daily skin is CTM, i.e., cleansing-toning-moisturizing, must be followed twice a day. Summers are the time for skin problems like acnes. So use a good cleanser daily which will cater to your acne needs.
  • Exfoliation- Incorporating exfoliation into your skin care regime is a must to avoid dull skin! Exfoliants remove old, dry, dead skin cells, toxins and other deposits and allow new skin cells to surface. Scrub your elbows and knees at least twice a week to get rid of dead tissues. Rub a slice of lemon with sugar every alternate day to keep them clean and to remove tan.
  • With this scorching heat reigning on us, it is advisable to drink plenty of water every day. Your food habits should contain of light and healthy diet. This will keep you cool and to keep yourself hydrated eat lots of fresh vegetables like spinach, bitter gourd, water melons, cucumber, etc.
