Tikiapara Car Shed Still Inundated, 31 Trains Cancelled


Kolkata: Incessant rainfall since the past two days has left the Tikiapara Car shed inundated on Thursday.

As a result of the water-logging in the Tikiapara car shed, 31 trains, scheduled to depart from Howrah, stands cancelled. Commuters are facing daily hassles. Railway officials are reportedly making attempts to pump out water as soon as possible, with the help of 4 pumps.

10 locals to Pashkura, 8 to Amta, 4 to Mecheda and 13 other trains have been cancelled.  Eastern Railway has all its trains plying in regular schedules, while South Eastern railway has commenced its service from Satragachi station.
