Three more NDRF teams to be sent to Nepal


New Delhi: The death toll in Nepal has risen to 1900 in Nepal following the massive earthquake on Saturday originating from the Pokhra area of the country. Three more teams of National Disastar Response Force (NDRF) will be sent to Nepal to assist in the ongoing rescue operations.

NDRF Director General OP Singh said, “We have already sent seven teams to Nepal and three more will be sent. Our first priority is to evacuate and rescue people buried under debris in Nepal. We have life detectors and other equipments.”

He also added that he will be personally visit Kathmandu to assess the situation and the NDRF teams already sent to Nepal has rescued around 100 people last night.
