Road Mishap: 3 Youths Were Killed


Indore: Three youths were killed when the scooter they were riding on was hit by an unknown vehicle in Ujjain in early hours of Tuesday.

The incident took place near Kachhada Fanta on Dewas road when the youth were returning from Ujjain, Narwar police said.

Police received information about the youth lying on the road near a damaged scooter. A team rushed to the spot and took the victims to a hospital, where they were declared brought dead.
On basis of documents found on their person, police identified the victims as Kallu Mohd, Vinay Tiwari and Krunal Upnare – all residents of Dewas.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the scooter was hit by a loading vehicle, which fled the spot after the accidents. Some villagers chased the vehicle, but could not catch it, Narvar police station in-charge Brijesh Shrivastava said.

Police were in the process of sifting through CCTV grabs of toll check posts in the vicinity to gather clues about the vehicle.

Post-mortem examinations were performed on the youths and their bodies handed over to their relatives in the evening.
