Three BSF jawans injured in Pak firing


Amritsar: Pakistani smugglers fired at a Border Security force outpost near Attari in Amritsar on Friday night. According to sources, three soldiers have been injured and and they have been taken to Guru Nanak Dev hospital in Amritsar.

The incident occurred on Friday midnight when troops of the 163rd battalion of the Border Security Force were out on patrol on a Tata-407 vehicle near the Bhikiwind post, about 16 km from the retreat ceremony area.

Giving details of the incident, DIG RPS Jaswal said that the BSF troops were getting off the truck for duty when the Pakistani smugglers, who were already hiding on the Indian side, opened indiscriminate firing leaving  three jawans injured.
