Kolkata: A fierce Mamata took her fight against Narendra Modi over the controversial land bill on the Kolkata streets, with a massive show of force on Wednesday.
CM Mamata Banerjee along with thousands of supporters staged a massive rally from Moulali to Gandhi statue at Mayo road protesting the controversial land bill. Mamata slashed at the central government over attacks on minorities across the country.
CM addressing a gathering at Mayo road lashed out at PM Narendra Modi and the BJP government, accusing them of acting for the interest of industrial class and neglecting the issues concerning the down trodden class.
She accused central government of using CBI, ED and NIA like agencies to intimidate her government to achieve political mileage in the state. Standing firm on the citadel, she dared the opposition and center to prevent her from taking out rallies. She even threatened in her own unique style that, those trying to prevent her rallying would be swept clean through a mighty barrage.
Criticizing the center’s move to introduce FDI in retail sector, she dubbed the BJP government as “Jhutha Sarkar”.
The said that Congress,BJp and CPM, all have shaken hands to destabilize her government in the state. The CM assured that she will do her best to conduct a peaceful municipal poll in the state.
The CM said that as per the schedule a meeting will be held at Subhash Maidan at Beliaghata on Sunday, on Monday a meet will be held at Bhawanipur and Behala consecutively and later the CM will hold a march from Garia to Gariahat.
On the other hand BJP leader and singer Babul Supriyo attacked Mamata saying that she is propagating false aspects of the land bill. He said that the CM was unable to comprehend the land bill and its implication in improving the over all growth of the country.
