West London: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, have welcomed their third baby – a son – into the world on April 23.
The statement from the Kensington Palace read, “Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well”. The name of the baby will be announced in due course.
The Duchess was admitted to the private Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, west London, in the morning hours of April 23. The couple already has two children – a son, Prince George, aged 6, and a daughter, Princess Charlotte, aged 2.
The Duke of Cambridge was present during the birth of his third child, who weighs 3.82 kg. “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news,” the statement read.
A notice was placed on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace following the announcement of the birth of Prince William’s third child. The name of the boy is yet to be announced by the royal family.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are also proud parents to George (4) and Charlotte (2). British Prime Minister Theresa May sent her warm wishes to William and Catherine on Twitter.
