New Delhi: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor will be questioned by the Special Investigating Team in connection with the death case of his wife Sunanda Pushkar, said sources on Friday. This comes even as the final AIIMS report in the case has been submitted to the Delhi Police.
AIIMS was asked to give its observations on an FBI report submitted in connection with the case. The FBI report had ruled out the presence of any radioactive substance in Sunanda’s body.
Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi tweeted, “Have been told that Medical Board’s advice in late Sunanda’s case has been received. Deepak is reviewing progress. Merits shall be ensured.”
Meanwhile, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has said that he will soon file a PIL in connection with the case.
There are allegations that Sunanda apparently had a heated argument with a Pakistani actress on microblogging website Twitter over her alleged affair with Tharoor. Tharoor was also questioned many times by the investigators but the sleuths are still clueless on how she died.
Sunanda, 52, was found dead in her suite at a five star hotel in south Delhi on the night of January 17, 2014.
