Kolkata: The exam timing of the Primary Teacher’s Eligibility Test has been increased by one hour and has gone up to 2 and half hours. On Monday the hearing in this matter was held at Calcutta High Court before Justice Girish Gupta. The order was pronounced by the HC in favour of the TET candidates. The order will be implemented once the copy of the order reaches the concerned departments.
The TET was scheduled to be held on Sunday 30 August but was postponed till October 4 since the question papers of the examination went missing.
But still black clouds prevail over the TET exams as there is uncertainty whether it would be possible for the government to conduct the examination smoothly on October 4 or not, since elections of few municipalities in the state are scheduled to be held on the previous day, i.e. Oct 3.
