Kolkata: The State Government, on Thursday, has decided to prioritise the recruitment process, 24 hours after it was announced on Wednesday.
Education Minister, Partha Chatterjee said, “The recruitment process would begin as soon as possible. It is being seen if the entire process could be completed within the Durga Puja.” He also added that out 20 lakhs 1 thousand 301 candidates, 1 lakh 24 thousand candidates have qualified in the TET examination. As per sources in Nabanna, once the recruitment process ends by Puja, state would issue notice on the teachers’ recruitment to classes 11 and 12.
On the other hand, post TET results, the problem have not been solved yet. The state did not publish data regarding how many of the qualified are teaching and non-teaching staff. This has led to a big confusion among the qualified students. Atleast 12 unions of the left have taken their protest to the streets alleging that there has been no transparency in the publication of TET results on Wednesday.
