Kolkata: The primary Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) scheduled to be held on August 30 has been postponed to October 04, told education minister Partha Chatterjee on Friday. The decision was made after the minister held a meet with the education department officials on Friday.
The decision was made after the West Bengal Secondary Board of Education (WBSBE) on Thursday reported that the TET question papers are missing. An emergency meet was convened by the education minister soon after the disclosure and the exam was postponed.
An investigation has been launched to ascertain, how the question papers get lost. Partha has also stated that legal action will be initiated against the postal department for such gross negligence and irresponsible act. On the other hand, the last date for taking online acknowledgement has been extended till August 31.
