Kolkata: West Bengal education department announced on Tuesday that the much awaited TET interviews will begin from coming Friday in the state. The interviews will be conducted on the basis of the online applications submitted.
As per sources, the following dates have been announced for the following districts which would completely end on 28th October: Murshidabad: 24th October
Verification of marksheets, certificates and testimonials and the interview-cum-viva and aptitude test would take place from October 18 to 28. Full details have been published in its official website www.wbsed.gov.in
The TET qualifiers would receive message in their mobile phones by Tuesday night. The venue of the final round interview and aptitude would be mentioned in the sms. Those who have applied through online facility would get the calls. Thus many qualified TET students is likely to not get this opportunity.
Calcutta High Court had on September 14 gave its final verdict on the Teachers Eligibilty Test(TET). According to Judge CS Karnan, trained candidates will be given preference in the appointment of primary school teachers.
The state government was instructed to publish the result within Durga Puja.The results were to decide the fate of around 23 lakh aspirants after an year of incessant wait.
Earlier, a case to suspend the appointment of unskilled candidates in primary schools was filed in 2015. The publication of the results had been pending for over an year. Calcutta High Court issued a letter to the Centre, asking for another year to deliver its judgement.
Some Left Unions have meanwhile alleged non-transparency in the publication of the results.
The scheduled dates for the interviews of each districts is yet to be known.
