Srinagar: At least two policemen succumbed to death as terrorists opened fired at Shri Maharaja Hari Singh hospital in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar on Tuesday.
The terrorist fired shots when the policemen were escorting a Pakistani prisoner Naveed. The militants and the prisoner managed to flee the spot. The personnel, who are critically injured, have been admittted to the hospital.
According to the report the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists staged this daring attack outside the hospital in Jammu and Kashmir’s summer capital to free a Pakistani terrorist from custody, killing a policeman and critically injuring another, police said.
Naveed Jutt, the LeT terrorist from Pakistan who was caught in Kulgam in south Kashmir in 2014, managed to escape with the assailants, police officials said.
The ultras opened fire on the police party accompanying Jutt, alias Abu Hanzala, outside the hospital in Kaka Sarai area of the city, police said.
