Terrorist Mustaq Zargar Claims Responsibility Of Attacks In Kashmir

Jammu: Wanted terrorist Mustaq Zargar, who was released in the Kandhar hijack episode in 1999 in exchange of airline passengers with Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Maulana Masood Azhar, has claimed responsibility of four terrorist attacks.

Zargar called up India Today office in Srinagar from his satellite phone claiming he is talking from Doda area of Jammu and Kashmir but the reality is that he was calling from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Mushtaq Zargar, chief commander of Al-Umar Mujahideen, said along with Jaish-e-Mohammad they carried out four terror attacks in Kashmir Valley last evening.

When he was asked who are the Pakistani terror outfits jointly operating with Kashmir-based militant groups, he said, “Whoever fights against India are our brothers and we have single cause so we will fight it together”.

When asked that is he in touch with Moulana Masood Azhar who heads Jaish, he replied that “Moulvi sahab is in Syria and I am in J&K but we are together and have single cause to attack Indian security forces in Kashmir till they will not leave J&K”.

Zargar also said that they had started this war to do or die in Kashmir and will increase attacks on forces in Jammu and Kashmir.

When Zargar was asked about links with Al Qaeda and ISIS, he said that it is the propaganda of India. One thing he repeated again and again was that he is going to bring Afghan Taliban to Kashmir to fight against Indian security forces unless and until Islamic law is not enforced in Kashmir and it becomes a part of Pakistan.
