Srinagar: Unrest prevails in Kashmir since Friday morning after reported incidents of 2 terrorists attacks, namely one at Bandipora district, while the other at Kulgam district took place.
Two police personnel were killed on Friday in a militant attack on a patrol party in Kulgam district of south Kashmir, police said. Militants opened firing on the patrol party at Kulgam town this afternoon, resulting in the death of two cops, a police official said. The slain cops have been identified as Tanveer Ahmad and Jalaluddin Ahmad, the official added.
Whereas, one Army jawan and two unidentified militants were killed, today morning after a gunfight between security forces and militants in Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The gun fight continued in the Manzpora area of Nahidkhai village in Bandipora.
Another gunfight between security forces and militants took place late Thursday in Tujar village of Sopore, Baramulla district.
After a tip-off about the presence of militants in the area, the security forces from Army, police and CRPF reached the spot.
