Tripoli: A camp of Bangladeshi nationals in Libya suffered a major terror attack in which 12 of the inmates’ sustained bullet injuries, Bangladeshi officials said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in Ajdabiya, a Libyan city 850 km off Libyan capital Tripoli, early Friday.
“Four of the injured Bangladesh nationals had to undergo immediate surgeries to get the bullets out,” counsellor (labour) at Bangladesh mission for Libya, now shifted to Tunisia, ASM Ashraful Islam told the news agency.
The Libyan robbers besieged the camp where some 100 Bangladeshis were living, he said. The injured were rushed to a hospital.
