Terror Attack Kills 19 in Tunisian Hotel


Update 6:32 pm: as fresh reports poured in casualties have surged past to 27 people. Authorities  fears the death toll might go higher.

Tunis: At least 19 people have been killed after at least one gunman attacked a Tunisian tourist hotel in the popular resort of Sousse, an interior ministry official said on Friday.

Terrorists attacked the Hotel Riu Imperial Marhaba in Susah, Tunisia, a spokesman for Tunisia’s Interior Ministry told the state-run TAP news agency.

Tunisian security forces exchanged gunfire with the attackers at the beachfront hotel, and the operation was still underway early Friday afternoon, according to the spokesman.
