Terror alert sounded in Kolkata-Siliguri before Independence day


Kolkata: High alert has been sounded throughout West Bengal with Kolkata and Siliguri in particular for terror attacks, after terrorists struck Gurudaspur in Punjab which left eight people dead. In the alert it has been said that ten terrorists had entered into into the country after crossing the border. Three of them were killed in Gunfight with the Punjab Police while there are no information about the other seven terrorists. It is being suspected that the terrorists may hide in Kolkata and its suburbs and carry out strikes in the city and Siliguri in North Bengal before the Independence day. It has been known that the terrorists are heavily armed and may carry out the attacks anytime soon.
