Jaipur: Seven people were killed and another severely injured after their vehicle allegedly ran amok and fell into a drain on Bapawar-Sangod road on Monday, police said.

Seven persons, between 24 to 28 years of age were killed and another severely injured after the taxi jeep they were travelling in lost control and fell into a drain from a bridge in Bapawar police station area of the district, Sudhir Kumar Yadav, SHO, Bapawar police station said.

The victims were the residents of nearby areas of Kota and Baran district and they were on their way to Sangod while the tragedy struck, Yadav said.
The bodies have been handed over to the family after post-mortem, he said. Further investigation is on, police added.
