Kolkata: Sharp shower spells and cloudy sky on Sunday morning has tamed the mercury from shooting up. The maximum temperature climbed down further on Sunday to stand at 32 degree Celsius.
After remaining dry for the past six to seven days, Kolkata has finally managed to receive some light traces of rains in the past day. In fact, thunderclouds are already building up and rains may commence over the city almost anytime now.
And the Met office expects similar showers to keep the heat at bay and monsoon flow gains strength again. In all likeliness the monsoon may come lashing with a renewed force by weekend.

According to sources, heavy rain to hit North Bengal on 48 hours. South Bengal also to get medium speel of rain.
