Teen raped twice, as police’s plan to nab accused fails

Mumbai: A 17 year old rape victim was allegedly raped by the same offenders twice when the police, who had laid a trap to nab the accused, failed. The girl was asked by the police personnel to meet the culprits in Maharashtra’s Jalna town which failed. However both the accused have been arrested by police and an Assistant Police Inspector Vinod Ejjapwar who had led the operation was suspended.

Both the culprits, reportedly in their 20s had attacked the teen and her boyfriend at an isolated place along Nava Road on the evening of July 7and raped her at gun-point after dragging her to a forest and shot a video clip of the act on her mobile phone.

A police complaint was lodged after the girl returned home and narrated the incident to her mother.  The accused started calling the victim’s mother and demanded Rs 2000 to return the phone. The girl was sent to meet the culprits while police attempted to nab the accused but the plan failed and the accused again raped the girl.
