TDP MLA under ACB scanner over cash-for-vote


Hyderabad: Anti-corruption Bureau of Telengana on Tuesday have issued notices to Telegu Desham Party MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and another party leader V Narender Reddy in connection with cash-for-vote probe. ACB has issued notices to the two leaders and has asked them to appear before the agency for interrogation.

The accused legislator Veeraiah is a member of the Telengana assembly from Sathupalli in Khammam district whereas narender Reddy was a TDP-BJP candidate in the elections to the state legislative council.

TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy was arrested by the ACB on May 31 while he was offering Rs. 50 lakh to nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to make him vote for Narender Reddy. ACB also arrested Reddy’s aides Sebastian Harry and Uday Simha.
